Simple Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette

This salad is simple enough to make any night of the week but delicious enough to serve to your pickiest guests.

Ingredients

  • Salad
  • 1 bag packaged salad (butter lettuce or mixed greens recommended)
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 heirloom tomato diced
  • ½ cup diced red onion
  • Vinaigrette
  • sea salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Calivirgin Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Calivinegar Barrel Aged Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 crushed garlic clove (optional)
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning

Preparation

  1. Place all salad ingredients in large bowl.
  2. Add all Vinaigrette ingredients to small bowl and whisk or stir with a fork until combined and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Remove garlic clove from vinaigrette mixture.
  4. Right before serving pour balsamic vinaigrette over salad.
  5. Additions: Sprinkle feta or bleu cheese over finished salad for an added flavor
