Feta Jalapeño Dip

Made with our Calivirgin Jalapeño Olive Oil

Serves: 8-10   |   Prep Time: 10 min   |   Total Time: 40 min

  • 8 ounces feta cheese
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • ¼ cup Calivirgin Jalapeño Olive Oil
  • 1 head of garlic, raw
  • Zest and juice of half a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut the top off of the garlic bulb, drizzle with Calivirgin Premium Extra Virgin Oil, wrap in foil, and roast on a baking sheet for 25-30 minutes. Brush a jalapeño with the same oil, add salt, and bake with the garlic until charred.
  2. Let cool, then halve, skin, deseed, and dice the jalapeño.
  3. Crumble feta in a bowl, mix in jalapeño, Calivirgin Jalapeño Olive Oil, lemon juice and zest, and onion powder.
  4. Squeeze the roasted garlic into the bowl, mash together with a fork or whisk. Season with salt and pepper, top with chopped scallions, and serve alongside veggies or tortilla chips!
